Step 1: Booking Your Appointment
Booking a mobile tyre fitting appointment typically takes just a few minutes online or by phone. You provide your vehicle registration or tyre size, choose your preferred tyres, and select a date and time slot that suits you. Same-day fitting is often available if you book early in the day.
Step 2: Technician Arrival
The technician arrives in a fully equipped mobile workshop van, complete with tyre changing machines, wheel balancers, torque wrenches, and a generator. They carry a wide range of tyre brands and sizes, ensuring the correct fitment for your vehicle.
You will need to provide access to your vehicle and ensure there is adequate space around it — typically a standard parking space is sufficient.
Step 3: Fitting Process
The old tyre is removed using professional tyre changing equipment. The wheel rim is inspected for damage, and a new valve is usually fitted. The new tyre is mounted, inflated to the correct pressure, and the wheel is balanced to eliminate vibrations.
Finally, the wheel is fitted back to the vehicle using a torque wrench set to your vehicle's specified tightness, ensuring it is neither too loose nor dangerously overtightened.
Step 4: Completion and Payment
The technician checks all tyres for pressure and condition, disposes of your old tyres responsibly, and provides a receipt. Payment is typically taken on completion via card or cash. The whole process usually takes 20 to 40 minutes per tyre.
